Dr. Steven M. Wexler, Senior Pastor | Email Pastor Steve
Pastor Steve has been our Team Leader and Senior Pastor since 1989 and has preached most every Sunday since then. He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Literature and Psychology, a Masters of Divinity in Theology and Pastoral Counseling, and a Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy. Pastor Steve loves to scuba dive and is a scuba dive instructor and rescue diver, and works with soldiers returning from combat deployment using scuba diving as a form of therapy and healing.
Ken Templeton, Sr. Associate Pastor | Email Pastor Ken
Pastor Ken is our Senior Associate Pastor and XO, Utility Infielder, building guru… among other things. He has been on staff since 1999. He is a retired Navy Chief and former WA State certified chemical dependency counselor, and graduate of Vincennes University. Pastor Ken loves to fly and is a private pilot. He is a strong family man and has an amazing family to show for it!
Jason Barker, Associate Pastor | Email Pastor Jason
Pastor Jason oversees our marriages and families ministry. He came on staff at ALFC in 2006 as a youth pastor. Jason is a 2003 graduate of Life Pacific University with a Bachelors in Biblical Studies and a 2006 graduate of Azusa Pacific University with a Masters of Divinity. He grew up in a military family and has lived in 2 countries and 10 states. Pastor Jason loves to surf and has even found waves in Washington!
Christina Marvin, Children’s Pastor | Email Pastor Christina
Pastor Christina is our children’s pastor and has been on staff since 2002. She is a teacher at heart , loves kids and teens and has a Bachelor of Science in Health and a Master in Foundations of Education. Pastor Christina loves to play board games with her family and her favorite game is LIFE. Speaking of life, it’s never boring when Pastor Christina is around!
Michael Siegemund, High School, College and Early Career Pastor | Email Pastor Mike
Pastor Mike came on board in February of 2010. He was formerly part of Living Water Foursquare Church’s Children’s Ministry in Olympia, WA. Pastor Mike is currently pursuing his degree completion at Life Ministry Institute (Seminary) through Life Pacific Bible College. He is a talented artist and especially enjoys wood and metal working. He lives with his wife and two daughters, and their family is expecting their third child soon.
Bill Martin, Assisting Pastor, Police & Fire Chaplain | Email Chaplain Bill
Chaplain Bill is an assistant pastor at ALFC as well as a police and fire chaplain with Bremerton Police and Fire Departments. Chaplain Bill joined the staff in 2002 as our janitor, but soon showed his passion and gifting for chaplaincy and quickly earned his district license. He has a strong presence in the church and the community and is well-respected among the police officers and firefighters. Chaplain Bill is a talented artist with a flair for cartooning.
Deanna Walker, Assisting Pastor | Email Pastor Deanna
Pastor Deanna is a new pastor but not new to ALFC or staff. She came on board in 2002 as a worship leader. She has a beautiful voice and loves to serve. Pastor Deanna is multi-talented, overseeing our women’s ministries, as well as continuing to lead worship, create promotional videos, and does life coaching. She has a wonderful husband and two amazing adult children and dog Baxter who she enjoys spending time with.
Janna Davis, Administrative Assistant | Email Janna
Janna has attended ALFC since 1987 and joined the staff in 1991. She assists Pastor Steve in all that he does as Senior Pastor. In addition to working on the staff, Janna also oversees the PowerPoint presentation team that displays all the video during services. She recently earned her BA in Human Development from Washington State University and is a strong advocate for children with special needs. Janna lives with her daughter, five grandchildren, two cats and one dog.
Carolynn Perkins, Preschool Director | Email Carolynn
Carolynn directs our Abundant Life Preschool and Daycare. Carolynn came on board n 2005 and has been instrumental in growing our tiny daycare and preschool to a whopping 80 children! She holds degrees and certificates in programming, Signing and Special Education, accounting, Early Childhood Education and the last degree was a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Carolynn and her husband Bob came to Bremerton to retire, but the Lord had other plans…and we are so thankful!
Lois Wexler, Graphic Designer | Email Lois
Lois is amazing and married to Pastor Steve. Lois has been a partner in ministry with Pastor Steve since 1989 but joined the staff as a graphics artist in 1999. Lois has a gift for design, but went to school to refine that gift and the church reaps the benefits. If you see a poster on the wall, Lois designed it. The flash display on the big screens in the lobby, Lois designed it. Lois grew up with missionary parents and lived in Japan until she started college, which is where she met Pastor Steve.
Rachel Stamey, Middle School Director | Email Rachel
Rachel is our Middle School Ministry Director. She has been on staff for two years, but actually grew up at ALFC. She has attended with her family since 1992. Rachel has a BA in history with a math minor from George Fox University and an AA from Olympic College. Besides overseeing the Middle School Ministry, Rachel has been instrumental in the development of our new website, employing her talent and ability to organize and manage the details. Rachel and her husband Tom had their first child, Matthew, in January.
Phil Housel, Technology | Email Phil
Phil is our IT and AV guy, that is, he takes care of the computers, the network and website and oversees sound, lighting and video during services on Sundays and all special events that require these. He is fondly known as Dr. Phil in the office. Phil enjoys boating, is adventurous and generally enjoys hanging out with people. Prior to coming on board the team at ALFC, Phil worked in customers service for a local mobile radio business with shops in Bremerton and Poulsbo. Their loss, our gain.
Tim Savunen, Maintenance | Email Tim
Tim is our building maintenance manager and has been on the team since 2009. He takes care of the needs of tenants, preschool, and church spaces ensuring that the lights work, water runs, the roof doesn’t leak, and that we are cool in the summer and warm and cozy in the winter. Although he is a certified electrician, Tim is multi-talented, and can accomplish just about any project he sets his mind to. In his spare time, Tim enjoys spending time with his kids. His oldest son recently joined the Marines and just finished boot camp.
