Missions

As believers, we have given a mission to make disciples of all nations (Matt. 28:19). Here at Abundant Life Church, we are fulfilling this mission by focusing on 4 initiatives:

  1. Local Projects
  2. Global Projects
  3. Missionary Support
  4. Missions Awareness

Global Outreach “GO” TEAMS
Wglobal outreach logoe want to go, connect with, and love the people of the world. We do this by partnering with existing ministries and missionaries in the foreign field.

As the Lord leads us, we encourage and train those ministries to continue their efforts for the Kingdom. Ultimately, we want to help people to know Christ and begin their journey of faith. Each trip is tailored to the needs of the host missionary or ministry; these needs include training, building relationships, personal encouragement and support, as well as more practical ones like building projects and medical clinics.

We strive to send out two teams per year.  Each team goes through significant training, discipleship, and local outreach projects to help the team members bond with each other and prepare for how God will use them in the field.

GO Teams is taking up the charge to “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…” Mt 28:19

Operation GO gives us an opportunity to serve our local community and share God’s love. ALC is working at the oldest school in the district, Naval Avenue Early Learning Center. Here are three ways we are serving them.

  1. We are mentors. We help kids once or twice a week in the classroom.
  2. We periodically have a food drive to boost their supplies for the weekend food backpacks.
  3. We do building & grounds improvements, such as installing French drains and landscaping.
